As a specialty provider, I am considered out-of-network, and do not accept insurance.
This is to offer maximum privacy, confidentiality, and flexibility to my clients.
While I do not bill directly through insurance, I can provide you with a monthly superbill (invoice) for services rendered which you may submit to your provider for potential reimbursement.
Reimbursement for out-of-network benefits is solely dependent on your specific insurance carrier and plan.
I do not communicate with insurance so please be sure to reach out to your insurance provider directly for any questions you may have about your specific coverage.

In some cases you may be eligible to use out-of-network insurance benefits. You will be responsible for paying for each session in full at time of appointment.
You can use the out-of-network reimbursement calculator here to get an individualized estimate of what your costs will be using your out-of-network benefits!
If you have out-of-network benefits, they typically will reimburse you for 60-80% of the cost of each session.
I will provide you with monthly invoices called a “superbill” that will include all of the necessary information for your claims to be processed.

During the initial session, I spend time reviewing your history and assessing your mental health for any risk factors. If your status requires a higher level of care than I can provide in my office, I will provide you with referrals of other services in the areas that can better meet your needs.
In the first session, I will also work with you to create a treatment goal that guides our direction in therapy. In that way, I make sure that our time working together will focus on how to help you reach your desirable results. Setting tangible goals at the beginning of therapy will ensure the success of your treatment.

Sessions often run at a 50-minute increment. Depending on your needs and financial flexibility, you may opt for a longer session. Clients who are in couple and/or family counseling tend to request for longer sessions.
Please note that sessions start on time and end on time to respect the appointments of other clients.

I meet with the majority of my clients on a weekly basis.
I ask that all new clients commit to meeting weekly, for at-least the first 6 weeks. This will allow us to start off on a strong foot, so you can start seeing progress right away.
I may recommend that we increase or decrease the frequency of sessions to best meet your needs.

This really depends on several factors. I use an integrative and holistic approach to therapy.
Sometimes clients feel their goals have been met after 3-6 months.
I also have clients who choose to remain in therapy for much longer; they have seen improvements and still really enjoy having ongoing support and a place to process their thoughts and feelings each week.

Life happens and emergencies may arise, which is why we want to make sure you understand our policy before you begin working with me.
As much as I want to be flexible every time something comes up, I appreciate your understanding that sessions cancelled within 24 hours of your appointment time, will be charged for the full service fee.
